Women & Records- Archive Explorer Program
Have you ever wondered why womens names can be so difficult to find in historical records?
Join the Stearns History Museum for this engaging Archive Explorer program exploring the hidden and evolving presence of women in archival materials. Participants will learn why women are sometimes absent from official documents, discover where their stories do appear, and gain practical strategies for locating and interpreting women?s voices in the historical record.
Through real examples, expert insights, and hands-on tips and tricks, attendees will leave with new tools for historical research and a deeper appreciation for how women?s lives have been documented, remembered, and rediscovered over time.
