Summer fun starts right here in Sauk Centre! The Stearns County Fair returns July 29 through August 2, 2026, bringing together one of Central Minnesota’s favorite summer traditions.

Held at the Stearns County Fairgrounds in Sauk Centre, this annual fair features 4-H and open class exhibits, livestock shows, carnival rides, grandstand events, free entertainment, fair food, agriculture activities, vendors, family fun, and so much more. The Stearns County Fair attracts more than 30,000 visitors each year and continues a long-standing tradition of celebrating community, agriculture, and summertime memories.

Lace up your running shoes for the 2nd Annual Stearns County Fair Milk Run 5K on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Stearns County Fairgrounds in Sauk Centre!

Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate in this professionally chip-timed race. A free 1K Kids Fun Run will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m.

After the race, celebrate with locally produced chocolate milk, meet the Stearns County Dairy Princesses, and take a selfie with a calf. Early registration is $15, and participants who register by July 24 are guaranteed a race shirt.

Dairy farmers and their immediate family members may be eligible for free registration by contacting pluwertz@metnet.net or using the coupon code provided through the race website.

Get ready to run, walk and get colorful at the Champions Lions Color Dash!

Join the Sauk Centre Lions Club on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Stearns County Fairgrounds for a free, family-friendly color run celebrating people of all abilities. Participants can move at their own pace while enjoying an afternoon filled with color, music, food and community fun.

Sign-up and T-shirt pickup begin at 2:00 p.m., with the Color Dash starting at 3:00 p.m. After the run, stick around for dancing with DJ Pete from 4:00–6:00 p.m. and lunch at 5:00 p.m.

The event is free for all participants, and Color Dash T-shirts will be provided to the first 200 people who register. The event will take place rain or shine. Participants are encouraged to wear old clothing, shorts, socks and shoes, as the color powder may stain.

Musicians and music lovers are invited to gather at the Sinclair Lewis Park bandshell for a community jam session organized by the Sinclair Lewis Library!

Bring your instrument and join in, or simply bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music. Musicians of all experience levels are welcome, and there is no need to perform solo or prepare anything in advance. This is a relaxed opportunity to make music, meet others and enjoy an evening in the park.

Join the Sauk Centre Area Chamber for a members-only trip to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis - an exclusive opportunity to learn, connect, and make sure the voices of our local businesses are heard.

During our visit, we’ll take a guided, 75-minute walking tour exploring how the Federal Reserve influences interest rates, employment, price stability, banking, and the overall health of our economy. We’ll follow the journey of a dollar, watch automated robots move millions in currency, see what $4.6 million in cash looks like, and even sit on a chair made with $1.7 million in shredded money. 

More importantly, this visit gives our members a seat at the table. Following the tour, we’ll participate in an economic discussion along with a business roundtable with the second in command from the Minneapolis Fed. They want to hear directly from businesses across our area about current conditions, emerging trends, and the challenges and opportunities affecting our local economy. Participants will receive a brief survey in advance so we can bring meaningful, real-world information from the Sauk Centre area into the conversation.

Creating connections like these is an important part of the Chamber’s advocacy work. This is your opportunity to share your perspective, help inform the Federal Reserve’s understanding of our regional economy, and connect with fellow Chamber members along the way.

Following our visit, we’ll enjoy lunch together at Red Rabbit in Minneapolis.

The third Friday of June, July and August we will be hosting a food truck in each location for the community to enjoy.  Each food truck will benefit a different organization.  We will match up to $500 of the sales and donate it to the respective organization. The food trucks will serve from 11 am - 2 pm.
