SINCLAIR LEWIS BOYHOOD HOME Sinclair Lewis’ Boyhood Home was built in 1889, the Sinclair Lewis Boyhood home is where Sinclair Lewis spent his formative years in Sauk Centre. The home, a National Historical Landmark, is wonderfully preserved and open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This is a popular tourist attraction and is a must see if you are in the Sauk Centre area. Located: 810 Sinclair Lewis Ave, Sauk Centre, MN 56378 Tour Details for summer 2026: Just a little update The Sinclair Lewis Foundation & Sauk Centre History Museum and Research Center are is working together and in discussion, for the transfer of the Historic Sinclair Lewis Boyhood Home from the Foundation to the SCAHM, the transfer should be completed sometime yet this summer (2026). The home is still open for tours and they are welcome. If you are interested in a tour and you are in Sauk Centre, first check the home (Wed, Thurs, Fri or Sat between 10 am - 3 pm) if no one answers the doorbell feel free to call 320-351-8777, to make arrangements for a tour.
